About The Band
Chris Wintrip: Professional guitarist, vocalist, recording artist,
and producer. Mr. Wintrip has enjoyed a successful music career
performing with Joe Walsh, Frampton's Camel, Lynyrd Skynyrd,
Roger McGuinn, Harry Chapin, Billy Sheehan, The New York Dolls,
The Raspberries, Phil Keaggy and Glass Harp, including a special
honor in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame's 1997 exhibit "My Town" with
his prog band "Brimstone" and their LP, "Paper Winged Dreams."
Dan Porter: Dan started taking classical piano lessons at the
age of 6 and continued for the next 13 years. Developing into a
multi-keyboardist, he left Akron U to tour with “Brimstone” in
support of their Rock Hall of Fame “My Town” album “Paper
Winged Dreams” and subsequent single release. Dan was
Musical Director at the Broadway style “Overture Supper Club” for
6 years and, as a “first call” session player, has written and
played on many local radio commercials and industrial
soundtracks including major projects for Geauga Lake and the
Cleveland Browns. Currently, he has a full schedule of piano
students and works part-time for satellite radio giant SIRIUSXM.
Klayton Krumm: A musical prodigy, Klay began playing trumpet,
trombone, and tuba in junior high. He became a natural at Bass
Guitar at the age of 12, then quickly assimilated to Lead Guitar at age
13, performing live at the Palace Theatre in Canton, OH. Studying jazz
and blues, Klay enjoys playing just about any type of music. In 2012,
his metal band "Stack the Bodies High" opened for MushroomHead in
Cleveland and gave a moshing performance to envy. He's currently
studying classical guitar, "just to round out my skills." This young man
is going places!
Warren Henry: Warren has approached music from many angles.
He started playing guitar at age five and never stopped. In college, he
studied guitar and piano, classical and jazz. Not content to just play, he
learned to build, repair, and customize guitars and basses, and spent
time working for guitar making icon, Leo Fender. Teaching is another
aspect of music Warren enjoys. Warren has played guitar and bass with
many local bands, playing styles ranging from surf to jazz to classic rock.
In addition to performing and teaching, Warren owns a retail music store
in Chagrin Falls, Ohio.
Scott Grewell: Scott Grewell has played drums for over 50
years. He was a Music Major at Kent State University and
Mount Union College. Scott has taught drums and
percussion for over 40 years. He is the former owner of
Zampino’s Drum Shop.
Scott toured the U.S. extensively in the 1970’s and 80’s with
the band Brimstone. He also toured Europe with Jazz Band of
America. Other local bands include Xenia, Cajun Butter, Tin
Hunt Trio and Jeff Poulos Blues Revue.
Scott has opened for many national acts including Robert
Cray, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, The Fabulous
Thunderbirds and Jimmy Thackery.
It is our deepest desire to pay homage to Mr. Eric Clapton. Through the years, Clapton
has been a major influence and icon who inspired artist, Christopher Wintrip, founder of
CTE. "We want to do justice to rock music’s most legendary performer, Mr. Eric
Clapton." We cover Clapton’s musical career performing hit songs from The Yard Birds,
Blues Breakers, Cream, Blind Faith, Derek & the Dominos and Clapton’s solo career &
hits for an “incredible journey through time” and the “Full Eric Clapton Experience”
